CHOCOLATE CAKE CLUB
during my many adventures in life, i have joined several different clubs: sock of the month club, sock monkey of the month club, sam’s club, etc. none of them have really stuck.
another life obstacle i’ve had to face is my birthday: it’s two days after christmas. claudia’s birthday is right around (sometimes on) thanksgiving. i figured i would knock out two birds with one cocktail. although not literally, because drunk birds are annoying… just ask uncle gabby. without further ado, i present a club that everyone will want to join: the chocolate cake club.
ingredients
1 1/2 shots three olives cake flavored vodka
1 shot godiva chocolate liqueur
(to taste) fee brother’s chocolate bitters
1 shot club soda
whipped cream
cake or cookie sprinkles
fill a martini glass with ice and water. set aside to chill. combine vodka, chocolate liqueur and a healthy squirt of chocolate bitters in a cocktail shaker. add ice. shake vigorously.
add the club soda and stir. pour the ice water out of the martini glass and strain the contents of the shaker into the glass.
garnish with whipped cream and any sprinkles you may have on hand.
*optional: cake candle
